A Hair Miracle by MALDITA Studio

It has been a while since the last time we updated this blog. Despite our busy schedule, we were just too ecstatic about our recent salon visit that we feel like it’s a sin not to share our experience in detail to our beloved readers.

Warning:  The next photo is not for the faint of heart.

The horror of outdated and abused hair. (L: Zvyka, R:Gyra)

As you can see, if only hair can talk, ours would curse us. They’re nothing but ugly sights that on most regular days, we keep them hidden in a poorly done buns and pony tails. We reached a point where we could not take our sad hair frills anymore and, thank goodness, Maldita Studio came to our rescue.

Maldita Studio is the salon of MALDITA, the premiere Filipino clothing brand known for fashion and beauty.

Upon arriving, we noticed immediately how spacious and clean the place was for a salon. Every thing was neatly organized. The lobby (picture above) has a comfortable sectional sofa for waiting clients and companions.

Maldita Salon is a L’Oreal Professionnel exclusive salon, which means they only use L’Oreal products for the treatments they offer. We were definitely confident that we were getting a premium treatment.

Clean and spacious work area.

There was another room of similar look at the other side of this area. As you can see, accommodating a lot of people won’t be a problem. They also have VIP rooms for those who prefers privacy.

After a guided tour inside the salon, we were introduced to our professional hair stylists. They quickly assessed our ultra ugly hair. Being the professional that they are, we let them decide what was best for our hair. Although we told them that we both did not want to cut our hair. Why? Just because! :)

They decided to revamp our hair starting with its color. Our hair was washed first to remove any chemicals that could affect the treatment.

My fashionable and friendly stylists, Sir Vince (R) and Sir. Maui (L), drying my thick hair. I saw how dreadful my hair was. Even brushing it was a challenge to my awesome stylists.

Root Retouch was done once our hair  completely dried up. They used digital timers to time the treatments. Nothing gives better assurance and satisfaction than seeing the professionalism executed by your hair stylists. When the timer alarmed, they proceeded to color the rest of our hair.

We were also treated to a wonderful mani-pedi by Ms. Jenalyn.

To keep our hair from looking dull, Color Gloss Treatment was done to our hair. Zvyka finished an hour earlier since my once-bleached hair takes a longer time to color.

They finished off our hair pampering with a marvelous hair styling. After almost 4 hours, we were pretty dumbfounded with how our hair looked. It was as if our hair was given a second fabulous life.

A two thumbs up for Maldita Salon!

We highly recommend this to everyone and we will definitely come back. Thank you for a wonderful time!

Efflorescence

image

A vibrant floral piece of clothing can easily make the person look more feminine. And while my eyes seem to favor floral prints more than any other prints, wearing them always make me feel a little daintier.

image

Spring is my favorite season not only because of the blossoming colorful flowers but also because of the cool weather. Waking up to a cool sunny day is rare here in the country but when I actually do, every thing around me seems to becalm.

image

Spring/Summer collections in fashion are also my most favorite among the other collections. I always look forward to the creative use of florals and colors of designers and brands.

Keeping It Light

image

The week has not been quite the typical given the recent tragedy that hit Bohol and Cebu. I was bothered by this dire reminder of how unpredictable life is. Though I’ll leave the life realizations for a different blog post, clearly there is no sure-fire way to know what’s going to happen next. All we can do is hope for the best and be prepared for anything. In spite of that, I am not the type of person who believes in the “material” sense of the quote “Live life to the fullest.”

image

People close to me know me for being straightforward and direct. I am someone who doesn’t hold back what is going on in her mind. I find it very difficult to keep mum especially about certain things I have a strong opinion of. But I have never forced anything I say to anyone nor will I start to…ever! Expressing myself, without consciously hurting anyone, is something natural to me because I don’t want to regret not doing so.

image

Many times my transparency lead me to some kind of trouble with some people. Trouble, however resolvable, makes me sad, depressed or annoyed - depending on who else is involved. Yesterday was an example.

No, I’m not getting into the details. But I did feel really annoyed. To keep my mind off the issue, I took a stroll in the mall. Mall strolling when annoyed or stressed is, by far, the fastest way to bring back my usual sunny disposition. I try to avoid buying things because I’ve realized that strong emotions make one an impulsive buyer.

Since it was only an abrupt plan to go to the mall, I wore a simple mall outfit. The combo shorts + tank top + blazer is easy to put together. Match the outfit with nice shoes (in my case, cork wedge sandals) a statement neck piece, and you’re done!
