Of the four calendar seasons, fall is my favorite. I love what it signifies and the traditions that come with it. Unfortunately, tropical countries, like the Philippines, have only two seasons - wet and dry. While countries experiencing four seasons are already on their fall equinox, we have what we call ber-months. Ideally, ber-months are characterized by cold weather all throughout the day but with global warming in the picture, a sudden spike in the temperature or a heavy downpour of rain - causing floods and landslides - is always a possibility.
We, Filipinos, are very much accustomed to the ever so changing and extreme weather conditions. Thanks to improved weather instruments and people’s vigilance with the weather, we can always be prepared for what it brings.

Our fall-inspired outfits today conforms with the current weather inconsistencies. Floral details never fail to give an outfit that lively feel you might need to uplift a dreary day.
We are fans of blazers and cover-ups. Layering is a common style we practice. This way, it is easy to adjust to temperature change.
Is it cold? “Thank goodness I have blazer on!” Or is it hot? “Off you go, blazer!”
October is also a make-or-break month for most students. With the nearing end of the semester, students are spending days and nights buried in books and school projects. We share the same sentiments - sleepless nights, skipped meals, killer deadlines, laborious exams, etc.
On a side note, although there seems to be too much work to do, we should always remember not to be neglectful of our health. Sleep deprivation alone can do much damage so let’s make sure to at least eat on time and drink vitamins, and keep in mind what Denis Waitley said, “Time And health are two precious assets that we don’t recognize and appreciate until they have been depleted.”
