Food Rehab : Borough at The Poduim

There’s a purpose for the bars of chocolates in the supermarket aisles, ice cream in the fridge, or for the carbo-loaded pasta most restaurants serve :as comfort food.

Food that lulls the spirit, beseeches melancholy, happiness and self-satisfaction. Eat, yes, this is what I do when law school starts to crash and burn me. (Hence, the weight gain. ) So my friend and I went to Borough one Saturday afternoon to help me down my school sorrows and frustration.

The place looked incredible with its hodgepodge of vintage mirrors, glaring walls, dark furniture, and floral accents with its soothing cozy atmosphere and intimate feel. The food was gooood! Let the pictures speak for themselves.

First, let me show you what I wore.

What I’m Wearing : Unbranded top, SM GTW lace shorts, ForMe necklace, bangles, Primadonna wedges. Photo grabbed from Instagram

I wanted to look casual but didn’t want to look the slob. For a calm vibe, I grabbed this black subtly laced shorts paired with a loose long sleeve top with a point flat collar and patent wedges. One trick I learned over the years is to wear a loose top when you know you’re gonna eat a LOT so you love handles won’t show. Hihi

Now, here’s what we had.

Tomato Soup and Rothko Caesar Salad

Fried Chicken and Waffles

Homemade Pumpkin Ravioli

BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich

Molten Chocolate Cake

We will definitely go back and try their other dishes! *burp*
